What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Soccer Coach position at Trinity School?
Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks an Assistant Soccer Coach with Goalkeeping knowledge for the 2020 fall season. This part-time, seasonal, stipended position begins in late August and ends in late October / early November, although planning and communication outside of the season is required. Attendance during our two-week pre-season in late August (times vary, and includes a four-day overnight trip) is expected.
Specific qualifications include significant experience as a Goalkeeper, with collegiate goalkeeping experience a plus. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not essential, and other soccer knowledge is a plus. Qualified candidates will embrace the unique role of athletics in an independent school setting; have strong organizational skills; have experience in effectively managing relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents; have a solid understanding of safety and skill progression in goalkeeping and be able to attend practices and games. Practices occur on weekdays with times varying between 2 : 45 and 5 : 45 PM. There are approximately 18 games which may last beyond 5 : 45 PM.
