The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the supply chain, including inventory management, procurement, order processing, logistics coordination, and supplier communication. This role ensures smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Role and Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Process purchase orders and track order fulfillment.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Negotiate contracts and terms under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Ensure proper documentation of inventory movements and stock adjustments.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to optimize storage and distribution.
Logistics & Order Fulfillment
- Assist in scheduling and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work with freight carriers and logistics partners to resolve shipping issues.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Monitor transportation costs and suggest cost-saving measures.
Data Entry & Reporting
- Maintain accurate supply chain records, including purchase orders, invoices, and inventory reports.
- Analyze supply chain performance and generate reports for management.
- Support the implementation of supply chain management software.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor supplier adherence to quality and sustainability requirements.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation planning for supply chain disruptions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement
Technical & Soft Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office-based role going in between both warehouses (within close proximity)
- Ability to lift light packages and stand for extended periods when working in warehouse settings.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
