Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in our church, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our parishioners. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties.

Duties include vacuuming, wet mopping, cleaning & stocking restrooms, and removing trash. Hours are between 25 and 34 each month with some flexibility of when work is performed. Persons applying must have references and be able to work around the church’s schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Respond promptly to any custodial requests or emergencies that arise during shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good physical stamina.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 9 per week
