Management / Supervisory Scope : The Staff Accountant works under the direction of the Controller and day to day supervision of the Accounting Manager.
Basic Function : The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing financial giving records and company assets. This position provides payroll support and serves as liaison for human resources and accounting, duties includes processing payroll and ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations as needed; providing payroll reports for accounting purposes. Financial record management includes, ensuring accurate and timely day to day data entry and reporting. Company asset management includes accurate accounting of inventory of company assets.
Fiscal Asset Management
- Plan, implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control.
- Develop and maintain inventory records and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory.
- Interfaces with department managers and employees problems or other special situations.

Requirements : This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or 1 to 3 years equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. The incumbent must possess a thorough knowledge of principles and practices of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and long and short-term financial planning; financial analysis and management skills, knowledge of computer software and its application to financial business practice; ability to problem solve, organize and direct the work of professional, technical and clerical staffs; outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal), self-starter requiring minimum supervision; ability to work individually or with team. Persistency, accuracy, creativity, courtesy, and honesty are required. Also must possess great attention to details, excellent organizational skills, and excellent time management skills.
Work Schedule : The Staff Accountant shall general work forty (40) hours each week in accordance with the schedule personally arranged, and mutually agreed to with the Controller and or his / her designee. Attendance at Team and Church meetings and the carrying out of duties and responsibilities in excess of 40 hours is part of, and inherent in this job.
