What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office/Financial Administrator position at Trinity United Methodist Church?
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Office/Financial Administrator to handle the financial processes and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes for both Trinity United Methodist Church and The Trinity School. This role is a mix of accounting, payroll, and general office support—perfect for someone who’s great with numbers, organized, and comfortable juggling different tasks.
What You’ll Do:
- Handle journal entries and prepare financial statements (basic accounting experience needed).
- Process payroll accurately and confidentially (this is a must-have skill!).
- Use and troubleshoot accounting software as needed.
- Work with vendors to make sure everything is squared away.
- Communicate and coordinate using Microsoft Teams.
- Update our WordPress website and create materials in Canva when needed.
- Assist with HR tasks, helping create a positive and organized workplace.
What We’re Looking For:
- Payroll experience is a must—this is one thing we can’t train from scratch.
- A background in accounting with an eye for details and deadlines.
- Experience with HR or a natural ability to work well with people is a big plus!
- Familiarity with ACS/Realm software and/or United Methodist Church is helpful but not required.
- Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Teams, WordPress, and Canva.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
