Job Description:
Trinity University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty for the Spring 2025 semester to teach INTL-1305 Ethics in International Engagement and Development course.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities of part-time faculty members include but are not limited to:
- Designing and delivering lectures, discussions, in-class activities, and assignments
- Grading assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
APPOINTMENT DETAILS
This position will be a one-semester appointment beginning in January of 2025, with the possibility of renewal.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Required: PhD or ABD by January 2025
EXPERIENCE
Required: Background in International Studies or a related field
Preferred: Teaching experience at the university level
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Mastery of the relevant subject matter
- Ability to deliver engaging lectures, discussions, or in-class activities
- Ability to design rigorous and meaningful assignments
- Commitment to the liberal arts mission of Trinity University
- Ability to teach concepts such as power, privilege, and prejudice from colonial history to the present day
