Job Description:
Trinity University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty for the Spring 2025 semester to direct the Trinity Choir and Voix d’Esprit (Women’s ensemble).
Duties And Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities of part-time faculty members include but are not limited to:
- Developing the course syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets departmental and University standards
- Preparing ensemble for public performances, to include, but not limited to the selection of repertoire, assigning of parts, and refining the technical and musical levels of performance
- Working with department and office staff in creating and coordinating public performances, including, but not limited to the creation of a printed program, reserving dates and venues, and assisting in the promotion of public performances
- Engage in the administrative tasks of an ensemble director, to include, but not limited to the recruitment of ensemble members, tracking inventory, and maintaining an organized library of repertoire
- Design assessment criteria appropriate to and in accordance with Trinity Music Department expectations for ensemble and performance based courses
- Assigning early, midterm, and final grades in compliance with University deadlines
- Maintaining office hours as directed by the department chair or program director
- Making student accommodations as determined by the Office of Student Accessibility Services
- Adhering to all instructional policies as published in the Faculty Handbook and the Courses of Study Bulletin
