Job Description:

The start date for this position is July 7, 2025. We will begin reviewing applications starting March 3, 2025.

The goal of this position is to help The Collaborative for Learning and Teaching-Trinity University's pedagogical and professional development center-provide support for our faculty and staff. This position is an in-person role with an anticipated 40 hours/week spent on campus at Trinity University. This position may be required to occasionally work outside of standard business hours, in the evenings or on weekends. This position will coordinate and direct the Tigers as Partners (TaP) program and other relevant student-faculty partnership activities and research within the center. Additionally, the Post-Bac will work closely with The Collaborative staff on various projects, including supporting the center's initiatives and programming through administrative tasks and help with marketing, advertising, and outreach.

The contract for this position will run through the end of June 2026. Possibility of renewal for a second year term is contingent on funding and subject to the approval by the director of The Collaborative for Learning and Teaching.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Partnership Program: Coordinates and directs the TaP program. Develops trainings and resources for TaP student interns, facilitates weekly meetings with student interns, and consults with faculty partners. Leads an orientation session at the beginning of each semester; runs end-of-the-semester reflection events; hires student interns; supervises student workers' time entry and pay; organizes the logistics, scheduling, and partnering of student interns and faculty partners; and tracks program data and feedback from participants. May serve as consultant for specific faculty members in a similar capacity to the TaP student interns.

  • Programs and Initiatives: Supports the center's work and collaborates with other members of The Collaborative. Helps to develop, market, and advertise events; facilitates opportunities to incorporate student perspectives and relevant participation in The Collaborative's programs and communications; contributes to the center's monthly newsletter; helps to update the digital hub of resources, and interviews faculty for faculty spotlights. Maintains the center's lending library of resources and contributes to program/center assessment.

  • Resources and Support: Provides faculty and staff with support related to their teaching and learning needs. Works with faculty, staff, and departments/units to ensure that The Collaborative is providing tailored support. Organizes and administers teaching and learning related events such as focus groups, mid-semester feedback, and survey assessment for individual faculty and departments/units. May compose white papers or gather and develop resources related to faculty and staff requests for materials on the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).

  • Thank-a-Tiger Program: Organizes and oversees semesterly program to solicit messages from students for faculty and staff. Solicits responses from students, advertises/markets the program, collates and prints responses, and delivers cards to faculty and staff. Project is intensive during the final weeks of each semester.

  • Conferences: Attends and presents at conferences, as funding and opportunities allow. Work is intensive during the conferences.

  • Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.

  • Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • 6 months of experience working at an institution of higher education; this may include experience being a part of student organizations and/or student leadership positions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specific experience working with faculty-student pedagogy partnerships

  • Prior program planning experience and ability to work/lead in a team setting

  • Experience with student organizations; leadership roles; DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging) initiatives; teaching and learning in higher education

  • Experience coordinating, logistically planning, and marketing events

  • Experience with marketing, advertising, and social media

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • Works well under pressure to meet office/project deadlines

  • Ability to take on assigned tasks with a high level of creativity, independence, critical thinking, and initiative

  • Ability to lead student-partner relationships

  • Ability to supervise student workers, including facilitating weekly team meetings and managing student employee data

  • Ability to maintain an appropriate degree of confidentiality

  • Ability to cooperate and collaborate in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and to work with faculty, staff, and students with confidence, patience, and integrity

  • Ability to connect with others across differences of perspective and background and serve as a professional representative of The Collaborative in all meetings/interactions

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Excellent organization and communication skills, including writing, in a small team environment

  • Ability to connect with others across differences of perspective and background

  • Prior program planning experience

  • Knowledge of social media and design and their effective use in marketing and branding

  • Knowledge of Google Suite (including Google Sites), Microsoft Office, and Canva for writing, publishing, and marketing

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and have a good driving history.

  • May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • All jobs require a current Criminal Background Check (CBC).

  • Willingness to travel on behalf of Trinity University.

  • Occasionally, required to pick up or deliver information to an off-campus office.

  • Overtime may be required during peak periods that include year-end and other special projects.
