Description
Assist with the leadership, vision, and strategic planning for the athletic team.
REPORTS TO : Head Coach
Job Duties
- Teach assigned classes and sports according to approved syllabi and competencies.
- May teach distance learning classes via ITV, tele-course, or Internet.
- Participate in curriculum development and report learning outcomes as required.
- Schedule and maintain office hours per College policy.
- Assist with student counseling and registration.
- Submit required eligibility reports to the registrar's office on schedule.
- Attend all required meetings and events called by relevant administrators.
- Effectively motivate, teach, and supervise students while maintaining professional relationships.
- Keep administration informed about matters affecting students, faculty, and the institution.
- Serve on committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the athletic director or supervisory personnel.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Three (3) years coaching / teaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
Successful recruiting and networking within the community and building relationships
