Description
Manages all aspects, and provides leadership, vision and strategic planning for athletic team.
Reports to : Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
Job Duties
- Create, direct, coach, and maintain a quality athletic program to attract students to TVCC and encourage their involvement.
- Impart coaching theory to student-athletes and effectively motivate, coach, teach, and supervise them both on campus and during athletic trips.
- Assist in coordinating game logistics, including transportation, housing, and meal arrangements.
- Help maintain athletic facilities, including fields, gymnasiums, and courts.
- Plan and execute daily practices and workouts.
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including visitations, individual and family contacts, follow-up correspondence, campus tours, financial aid assistance, and cooperation with Academic Advisors for course scheduling.
- Conduct counseling sessions with athletes on athletic, personal, and academic matters, while monitoring their academic progress.
- Manage team conduct on and off the field.
- Oversee program budgeting, including athletic scholarships, equipment procurement, and operational needs.
- Recommend physical and budgetary needs through the College's planning process.
- Assist with media relations, including interviews, speaking engagements, and community or fundraising events.
- Ensure compliance with all team, College, Title IX, and NJCAA rules and regulations with integrity.
- Teach assigned classes per approved syllabi, submit grades and attendance, and participate in curriculum development.
- Maintain records and necessary materials for substitute instructors, and attend faculty and committee meetings.
- Lead staff and team meetings, and inform administration of any issues affecting student and faculty welfare.
- Uphold professional relationships with students, peers, and support the College and athletic department's mission.
- Work assigned schedule and comply with timekeeping policy.

EDUCATION REQUIRED : Master's Degree
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Five (5) years coaching / teaching experience at the high school or collegiate level required. Head Coaching experience at the collegiate level or equivalent.
