XPLORE: Summer at TVS provides participants with safe, unique, and fun learning experiences. Each year, over 1,000 participants, ages 4-17, attend at least one camp and many return for several weeks! We welcome ALL students from the Fort Worth area and beyond to join us for camps and classes.
Camp XCURSION is the newest addition to the XPLORE camp family, and it promises to be an exciting summer adventure! Each week brings a new theme to explore, filled with unique crafts, games, activities, and special snacks to keep campers smiling all day long. Plus, there's plenty of time for play-whether it's outdoor games, free play, or team challenges.
The Camp XCURSION Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating activities for children in a day camp setting. The instructor will ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, provide support, and create a fun, educational, and inclusive environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to manage a group of children.
As a Camp XCURSION Instructor, you will:
- Organize and lead age-appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and team-building exercises based on weekly theme
- Ensure campers are safe, engaged, and supervised at all times during activities
- Build strong, positive relationships with campers
- Help set up, maintain, and clean up materials, equipment, and spaces used during activities. Manage supplies for daily activities (e.g., arts and crafts materials, centers, etc.), and coordinate with camp directors to order or restock as necessary.
- Assist with camper drop-off and pick-up procedures
- Pay range: $40 per hour
Qualifications:
- Current or previous experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with children required
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a passion for working with youth
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to employment
- Must make a minimum commitment of 9 weeks during the summer season - which runs May 27-August 1, 2025 from 8am-4pm.
- Ability to collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to create a supportive, dynamic learning environment
Salary : $40
