Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide high quality catering services to members and guests of Trinity Woods. The Catering Coordinator is responsible for the marketing, planning, and outreach of our catering services while providing excellent customer service and enforcing food safety standards.
Maintains attitudes and behaviors that demonstrate and uphold the Mission Statement of Trinity Woods (TW), supports the TW core values and shows an understanding of TW’ person-centered philosophy.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year catering experience
- Certification in food handling
- Ability to work in independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic marketing skills; ability to promote TW catering services through promotional materials, menu planning, and customer outreach.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities:
Provide the highest quality of food service while ensuring safe, sanitary and efficient practices supporting professional standards of dining and nutrition services for TW residents and guests.
- Primary contact for customers requesting information regarding TW Catering Services
- Receive and process all catering orders and meet with customers to review order details
- Attend weekly meetings with the Executive Chef, Dining Director, or others to discuss menu plan and execution for special events
- Organize and coordinate an event timeline, ensuring that service runs smoothly and efficiently
- Coordinate and oversee set-up and breakdown
- Maintain an open dialog with member services, life enrichment, and the wellness department to plan and organize campus wide events
- Maintain high personal grooming standards and professional demeanor
- Punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings
- Keep work area neat and clean while following all safety and sanitation procedures
- Other Duties as assigned
