What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Support Services Specialist position at Trinity Youth Services?
We are currently looking for a Full-Time Facilities Support Services Specialist to join our Mission Warehouse Team. The Facilities Support Services Specialist shall keep all warehouse activities such as shipping and receiving, organizing and cleaning the warehouse in a well-functioning manner and shall also provide general maintenance support to all Trinity locations as directed. Other duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with courier route responsibility, as needed, including mail delivery and pick-up.
- Assist with work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Assist with maintaining inventory records.
- Keep the warehouse organized and in a functioning manner.
- Assist in supporting the location(s) with general plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting duties as needed.
- Be able to prioritize work and work independently.
- Drive a vehicle when necessary.
- Must be available and accessible to work a flexible schedule as needed, including evenings and weekends.
Skills/Requirements:
- High school diploma preferred, or GED accepted.
- Must have experience in warehousing and shipping/receiving procedures also knowledge of inventory control.
- General experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.
- Must be able to operate a forklift (if not currently certified, certification and training will be provided by the agency) and have experience in offloading containers.
- Must have a special interest in working with youth and must fulfill the general requirements as established in the California Administrative Code, Title 22.
- Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in English.
- Must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Trinity’s insurance carrier.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination; drug clearance; criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check.
Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
