The Solr Search Modernization Senior Programmer is expected to have sufficient skills to begin work immediately, with Solr Search Engine, Adobe Experience Manager, SQL and PS/SQL, Application Programming Interfaces and web services; developing AEM code using Java, Sling, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML; integrating and indexing diverse technologies such as Brightcove, Salesforce, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Oracle database and applications.
Experience Required:
- 5 years’ experience within the last 7 years, implementing on the Solr search engine platform, including installing, configuring, indexing, optimizing and implementing features. Development experience should also demonstrate the ability to use tools to incorporate data sources for indexing including external APIs and spidering tools.
- 2 years’ experience within the last three 3 years, implementing Solr 9.
- 4 years’ experience within the last 6 years, with the current framework functionality of Adobe Sites 6.5 on Adobe Experience Manager hosted on the Adobe Managed Services cloud platform, to design, develop, new and enhance complex web applications and portals.
- 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years, developing WCAG accessible web applications by using Adobe Sites on the Adobe Experience Manager platform, CSS, JavaScript, web services and HTML.
- 2 years’ experience within the last 3 years, integrating artificial intelligence features using Large Language Models.
- 2 years’ experience within the last 3 years, writing SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle and MS SQL Server.
- 1 year experience out of the last 3 years, Eclipse and GIT development tools.
- 1 year experience out of the last 3 years, creating System Level Documentation, including development, maintenance, flow charts and detailed logic specifications using Microsoft Office Products.
Education Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited four-year college/university in one of the following majors: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Computer Sciences, or Informatics.
