Overview: A Quality Engineer is responsible for researching, testing, and developing the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes to establish quality standards. They ensure product integrity by evaluating blueprints, performing testing, and maintaining quality control standards across production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality and Reliability Data Management: Develops sampling procedures and creates forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Precision and Accuracy Evaluation: Establishes programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Training and Development: Creates training materials and conducts training sessions on quality control activities to ensure staff competency in quality assurance practices.
  • Specialization Areas: May specialize in specific quality control engineering areas, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, or administrative applications.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on component drawing reviews, developing inspection methods, and designing fixtures.
  • Analyzing data, tracking project status, and creating reports on validation protocols, test methods, and supplier processes.
  • Supporting supplier process validations, handling MRBs, NCRs, and other inspection-related issues.
  • Creating and releasing qualification reports, inspection plans, and SOPs.

Required Skills:

  • Strong creativity, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Experience with engineering software applications, including CAD (Computer Aided Design).
  • Detail-oriented and able to work as a team player.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in quality control engineering.

Technologies and Tools:

  • MS Office, Keyence, Smartscope, SolidWorks, Minitab, PowerBI.

Top Required Skills:

  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Minitab and data analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in inspection development, risk management, SolidWorks/Creo, and Six Sigma.
