The role requires expertise in optimizing product development by leading and driving improvements, design, and testing of complex products. The successful candidate will use engineering principles to create innovative products and provide actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and optimize complex experiments and tests, analyze results, and generate reports based on engineering principles to innovate product designs.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to ensure product concepts meet performance, cost, and functional goals.
- Collaborate with clinical and marketing teams to define project scope and translate clinical needs into product performance requirements.
- Evaluate product reliability through statistical methods such as sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo analysis, and tolerance stackups.
- Identify and resolve complex design issues with parts, components, and subsystems.
- Validate material selection based on environmental stress, biocompatibility, and operational requirements.
- Offer strategic guidance on technical solutions and enhance manufacturability by supporting yield and throughput estimations.
- Develop work instructions, test methods, engineering models, and prototypes to establish product specifications.
- Supervise R&D tasks, train technicians / engineers, and manage testing processes.
- Lead cross-functional teams in complex design control activities, ensuring adherence to specifications and risk management.
- Create project plans to assess technology and drive results, coaching team members on reliability analysis and design principles.
