The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced cook and driver to our Trio Community Meals team in Newport, OR. As a cook and driver, you will have the opportunity to prepare delicious food and transport it to a variety of locations as needed.
What you'll be doing:
- Performing food preparation and production tasks while following recipes and safe food handling policies and procedures.
- Ensuring proper portion and temperature control and proper storage of leftover food.
- Loading and transporting food products from one location to another according to an assigned schedule.
Must-haves:
- Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
- Ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment and tools, as well as to identify and differentiate food items.
- High-level product knowledge and the ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A valid state driver’s license for the vehicle used for transport.
- At least one years’ experience in a high volume establishment with an emphasis on cooking from scratch.
- Food Handler’s certification.
The pay rate is $18/hr.
