Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing high-quality care at our nursing home facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for ensuring the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing operations within the facility
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive care to residents
- Conduct documentation reviews to maintain accurate records
- Utilize MDS systems for assessment and care planning
- Lead shift management to ensure adequate coverage and quality of care
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a nursing home setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and nursing practices
- Familiarity with MDS systems and documentation review processes
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of nurses
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents
