Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Help patients with mobility and transfers
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
- Assist in medical procedures as needed
- Document patient information in electronic health records systems like eClinicalWorks
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is beneficial
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Familiarity with medical records and documentation
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or Level I Trauma Centers is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for patient care
