This role is a remote position in the Boston area of the US. Occasional travel to company offices as necessary.

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic AI operations leader to drive AI adoption, efficiency, and value realization across Tripadvisor and its brand companies. This role will play a critical part in scaling AI initiatives, prioritizing high-impact AI use cases, and ensuring that AI investments drive measurable business outcomes.

This position is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration across data science, engineering, legal, security, finance, and product teams to optimize AI investments and execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver who can bridge technical, operational, and financial considerations.

Key Responsibilities

AI Portfolio Management & Strategic Prioritization

• Support the execution of the AI innovation portfolio by conducting research, analyzing data, and assisting in the evaluation of potential AI initiatives based on their alignment with business priorities, monetization opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
• Act as a bridge between experimentation and scaled deployment, supporting the Tripadvisor Labs charter. Identify, scope, and help execute high-potential AI innovation pilots.
• Develop detailed project plans and roadmaps for AI automation opportunities in collaboration with internal teams. Contribute to the implementation and change management activities for AI-driven operational efficiency projects.
• Maintain and update the AI portfolio dashboard, track key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI use cases, and generate reports on adoption, performance, and ROI metrics.
• Own the AI landscape scanning effort—maintaining competitive intelligence on AI strategy in travel, agent ecosystems, and tech platform evolution (OpenAI, Google, Meta, etc.).
• Coordinate and support the GAI Leadership Group by organizing meetings, preparing meeting materials, tracking action items, and assisting in the refinement of group objectives and processes.

AI Execution & Enablement 

• ^{Implement and enhance the established AI governance framework working across a cross functional team, including supporting monitoring of cost-tracking.}
• ^{Conduct detailed evaluations of AI tools and vendors based on predefined criteria, and provide recommendations for selection, ensuring alignment with scalability, cost efficiency, and business objectives.}
• Lead the development of the AI value realization framework—including dashboards and scorecards linking AI use cases to engagement, monetization, productivity, and ROI KPIs.
• Coordinate with IT, Engineering, and Data Science teams to support the deployment of core AI tools (e.g., Gemini), and track adoption and usage metrics to identify optimization opportunities.

Advocacy & Communication

• Develop and execute an AI strategy communication plan, ensuring business leaders understand AI’s role, impact, and opportunities.
• Lead AI knowledge-sharing forums, educating teams on responsible AI deployment while fostering a culture of AI innovation.
• Work with Data & AI Working Groups to educate engineers and business teams on compliance and governance best practices.
• Leverage AI leadership forums, office hours, and stakeholder engagement to champion AI best practices within the organization
