As the Director of Analytics you will be responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing data across our product portfolio to provide business intelligence solutions and insights for Product, Marketing, and Operations teams. In this role, you will work with the Business Line Leaders (BLLs) to better serve the business and with the functional leaders in product, Engineering, and Strategy to ensure that the team executes its mission and vision. You will manage several pods of action-oriented data analysts. You will lead and promote our data-focused culture, and will be a key stakeholder in enhancing our data technologies.
What You’ll Do
- you will be responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing data across our product portfolio to provide business intelligence solutions and insights for Product, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- You will work with the Business Line Leaders (BLLs) to better serve the business and with the functional leaders in product, Engineering, and Strategy to ensure that the team executes its mission and vision.
- Manage several pods of action-oriented data analysts.
- Lead and promote our data-focused culture, and will be a key stakeholder in enhancing our data technologies.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data analysts to work clickstream, digital marketing, AB tests, emails and other data to generate actionable insights which will determine the product roadmap, marketing strategies and business actions.
- Build a consultative relationship with key business decision makers including product managers. Help and influence them develop new product features and make data led product recommendations
- Balance demands of competing business leaders to ensure that we're spending resources on the highest priorities for the business. Partner to establish a long-term roadmap for providing deep business intelligence for the business lines
- Develop standards for the team and a coherent approach to intake and prioritization. Mentor and coach team on practical problem solving, identifying the most efficient solution to complex challenges.

- You are an experienced and articulate storyteller who leads, mentors, and grows teams of data analysts
- Under your leadership, the team will uncover insights to explain business and product performance.
- You have a consulting mindset, you partner across the organization. You thrive on large datasets, and enjoy high-impact, complex data projects.
- You have a track record of developing people, but can also roll-up your sleeves to get into details. Tripadvisor has big growth plans, and you will be key in enabling that growth.
