Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a Water Treatment Operator to join our 2nd shift team. As a Water Treatment Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the water treatment plant. This includes monitoring and adjusting treatment processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment to ensure the delivery of safe and clean water.

Position Overview
- Monitor Operations: Oversee the operation of the water treatment plant, including monitoring gauges, flowmeters, charts, and system control computers.
- Conduct Water Analysis: Perform water analysis tests such as hardness, alkalinity, pH, turbidity, and chlorine residual to ensure water quality.
- Adjust Chemical Dosages: Determine and adjust chemical feed rates to maintain proper treatment levels
- Maintain Equipment: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including pumps, piping, and filtration systems
- Respond to Alarms: Quickly and effectively respond to alarms and issues with systems and equipment
- Record Data: Accurately record data regarding treatment plant operations and distribution system pressures, tank levels, and flow rates
- Compliance: Ensure that plant operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.

Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and plumbing.
- Water treatment background is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with PVC, CPVC, and black steel pipe is preferred.
Shift:
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm
Total Compensation Package:
- Wage
- $18.50/hour plus a 2nd shift differential.
- Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
