Overview:
To diligently and thoroughly keep all public areas clean, stocked and free of garbage, while maintaining a friendly and professional manner while working cooperatively with management and co-workers in an atmosphere of teamwork and while maintaining positive and friendly relations with all guests and co-workers.
This is an overnight position.
Responsibilities:
- Keep all windows and glass doors in the lodge free of fingerprints and streaks.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas of the lodge, area rugs and rug in the staff room.
- Sweep and mop lodge floors as needed.
- Tidy lodge bathrooms – clean if needed.
- Empty garbage from lodge bathrooms and staff area.
- Straighten and wipe off lodge deck furniture and sweep decks as needed.
- Bring in dirty dishes left on outside tables to the kitchen.
- Pick up trash left on deck areas.
- Open the pool area each morning to include putting up table umbrellas and placing pool towels on pool chairs. (Seasonal)
- Check the pool area for dirty towels, dirty dishes and trash throughout the day. Replace dirty towels with clean towels. (Seasonal)
- Sweep pool area as needed. (Seasonal)
- Keep the sauna clean including showers, sauna, toilets and sinks. Remove trash and dirty towels.
- Keep the fitness center clean. Wipe down all machines, clean the bathroom, clean glass, vacuum, and remove any trash.
- Clean Meadowlark in the morning by 8:30am and tidy after yoga.
- Restock Meadowlark bathroom items as needed.
- Clean out and wipe off vacuum cleaners. On Wednesdays before 4:00pm, wash vacuum filters.
- Take dirty linens, uniforms and kitchen rags in the lodge to housekeeping for laundering.
- Take clean linens, clean uniforms and clean rags from housekeeping to the lodge.
- Take dirty dishes from housekeeping to the kitchen.
- Restock necessary items in the lodge.
- Turn around guest golf carts, check the gas, remove trash and replace towels as needed. Always notify the front desk or activities when taking a golf cart to refill gas. (Seasonal)
- Baggage wrangle when needed.
- Keep the housekeeping manager informed of the stock of cleaning and lodge supplies.
- Performing other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, raking in the Spring and Fall, and shoveling snow during the Winter months, watering Christmas trees, keeping lodge floors free of ice melt.
- During the slower times the 3rd Shift Housekeeper will work with housekeeping where needed (laundress, runner, deep cleaning, etc.).
- Clean any additional buildings when needed
Position Requirements:
- A 3rd Shift Housekeeper must be capable of willingly and adequately performing a wide variety of lifting and carrying activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying objects weighing 25 pounds, such as mop buckets, vacuum sweepers, cleaning supplies, and other items. Physical requirements of a 3rd Shift Housekeeper include general mobility such as walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, grasping and more.
- In addition, a 3rd Shift Housekeeper must be willing and able to perform mental tasks which involve thinking clearly, speaking clearly, and following instructions in basic written and oral English.
- This position requires walking, driving, and working in a variety of outdoor and indoor climatic conditions including harsh winter weather, hot summer conditions and all corresponding circumstances in between.
- A 3rd Shift Housekeeper must be completely honest and trustworthy in all aspects of the job, including when working around and when having access to guests’ valuables, private property and personal information.

- This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
