CONTRACT Position: 3 Years (open ended)
Location: Peoria, IL
We have an exciting opportunity for a System Integration Engineer. This position will work with experienced electric powertrain technical leads to understand customer, business, and regulation requirements and have accountability for developing ePowertrain solutions for construction and mining equipment to meet emissions reduction goals.
Job Description:
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years (8 for advanced degrees) of relevant product development experience.
- Ability to interrogate existing system designs and develop new solutions.
- Experience with creation of detailed electrical schematics, leveraging industry standards.
- Ability to apply principles of electrical theory to electric powertrain design.
- Experience with HV (>50V) component and system design and/or validation.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to efficiently work with process partners and internal customers.
- Experience with design and simulation tools/software; Creo mechanical/electrical, matlab, pspice, etap.
- Awareness of electrical safety standards; ISO 60204/14990, NFPA 70E, Arc Flash.
