About the position...
The Equipment Superintendent is a key position that leads the Equipment department team members through all phases of construction. This position works with other construction superintendents, project managers, and company personnel to ensure schedules and plans are met until the project is completed. This position is expected to assist with operating equipment and performing manual labor as needed.
- Responsible for site work job schedules and complete schedule changes when necessary.
- Responsible for coordinating and scheduling materials and subcontractors to complete jobs on time.
- Schedule Equipment Operators and Laborers as needed based on a priority list from the Director of Construction, coordination with other Superintendents, and project schedules.
- Assist with daily excavation tasks including trenching, backfilling/tamping, and grading, while adhering to Triple Crown phase specifications and safety policies.
- Responsible for inventory control, including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, and machinery, both on-site and in storage.
- Operate company-owned vehicles, material handlers, scissor lifts, and rental equipment, including towing trailers and compressors.
- Operate tampers, jackhammers, demolition saws, pumps, and pressure washers as required.
- Ensure proper installation and maintenance of E&S control measures.
- Oversees snow removal on construction sites and other properties as necessary.
- Assists the Design & Estimating team in creating real and executable budgets and schedules for site work.
- Responsible for usage, care, maintenance, inventory, transfer, and training of equipment, machinery and tools.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment at all TCC sites
- Responsible for employee training and development.
- Manages employee relations for direct reports such as but not limited to: performance reviews, discipline, hiring, termination, approval of timesheets, time off, and overtime.
- Attend weekly production meetings.
