About the position...
The Excavation/Equipment Laborer is responsible for various construction tasks and projects related to the company’s Equipment and Construction Division. This individual will be performing manual labor and working with on-site Operators and Foremen to ensure that projects are being completed in a quality and timely manner.
- Responsible for inventory control, including but limited to hand tools, power tools on site & organizing and maintaining site storage trailers and equipment.
- Assist with daily sitework tasks including backfilling and tamping, curb and inlet repairs and additional skills as trained.
- Operate tampers, jack hammers, demolition saws, pumps, and pressure washers as required.
- Ensure proper installation of exterior and interior drains and similar systems.
- Operate company owned vehicles, material handlers, dump trucks, rental equipment and including towing trailers and compressors.
- Assist Operators and Foreman in spotting and digging for various piping.
- Responsible for cleaning up each job as it is completed.
- Properly complete TCC time sheets via mobile device, accident reports, and any other TCC forms as conditions require.
- Assist Foreman/Superintendent in maintaining safety, scheduling, and delivery of material by acting as another set of eyes on site.
