Janitorial Supervisor
HOURS : 8am- 4:30 Pm - Wednesday - Sunday - Off Mon & Tue
15$ Per hour - Paid weekly.
Must be able to drive to multiple sites in the Hampton Roads area.
**Company vehicle can be provided ( must have valid drivers license's) **
** weekly gas incentive if driving own vehicle***
Job Summary
The Head Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all building occupants. This position is responsible for overseeing custodial staff, ensuring that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning, custodial duties, and facilities maintenance, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness across the facility.
- Perform cleaning task as needed, fill in for staff shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the building including restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and common areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order new supplies as needed.
- Train new custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning or discrepancies requests from staff or management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial services or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with floor care products and buffing equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact positively with staff and management.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
