Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager at Triplex, Inc. in Corpus Christi, TX. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining existing client relationships, developing growth strategies, and achieving sales targets. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews list of active customers and plan daily schedule of calls to maximize sales of Triplex material.
- Make daily calls on customers purchasing group, determine new requirements, develop quotations on spot inquiries or term contracts with larger users.
- Keep informed on competitors activities, materials, and report significant items to Branch/Sales Manager and/or Regional Sales Managers.
- Handle Customer complaints to resolve problems in best mutual interest of Triplex and customer. Keep informed on price changes, new materials taken on by Triplex and overall Corporate Sales Programs.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or speak with customers by phone or in person.
- Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
- Prepare and share weekly itineraries, daily call reports, maintain expense reports, mileage reports, and monthly vehicle maintenance reports.
- Works closely with Service Customer Representative (CSR) to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Coordinates customer training.
- Attends trade shows
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or relevant field
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement growth strategies
- Knowledge of the chemical, petrochemical, or industrial markets is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
