Position Qualifications:
- Current, valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa as required.
- 3-5 years Long Term Care experience.
- Excellent supervisory skills required.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations and laws required.
- CPR certification required.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
- Organized, multi-tasker.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Must be knowledge in MDS scheduling, completion and submission.
- Must be able to work under stress when confronted with critical or unusual situations.
- Oversee the Quality Assurance and Infection Control programs.
- Responsible for coverage of staff, working as needed as RN charge nurse including weekend and evening coverage on a PRN basis.
- Oversee pharmacy reviews, medication error reviews and monthly medication sheet changes.
- Responsible for completing nursing staff schedule.
- Ensure residents are safely and adequately taken care of.
