Mission Staffing is currently hiring for "Ground Maintenance" workers for a Cemetery located in the Pearland area.
Pay is $14/hr.
Shift: 7am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Must wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants at all times.
Grounds maintenance workers install and maintain landscapes, prune trees or shrubs, and do other tasks to ensure that vegetation is attractive, orderly, and safe.
Work Environment
Most grounds maintenance work is done outdoors in all weather conditions. Some work is seasonal, available mainly in the spring, summer, and fall. The work may be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, or shoveling.

Work Duties
- Gather and remove litter.
- Dispose of trash or waste materials.
- Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment.
- Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment.
- Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.
- Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants.
- Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
- Trim trees or other vegetation.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment.
- Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
- Prepare chemicals for work application.
- Treat greenery or surfaces with protective substances.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment.
- Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste.
- Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants.
- Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features.
- Cultivate lawns, turf, or gardens.
- Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds.
- Clean facilities or sites.
- Trim trees or other vegetation.
