Accounts Payable Specialist
A company in Hanover, MD is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of full cycle AP experience within the construction industry. Onsite 5 days a week with a salary ranging from $50k-60k, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process vendor invoices, match to purchase orders, and ensure accurate coding to cost centers and GL accounts. Process payments via check, ACH, or electronic transfer.
- Review and process employee expense reports in line with company policies, ensuring timely payment and proper documentation.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions, review statements, and ensure accurate coding and compliance.
- Manage and track lien waivers from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely submission and proper documentation for compliance.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors, respond to inquiries, and support project managers in tracking job cost expenses and payments.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing, reconcile AP accounts, and prepare AP-related reports. Support audits and maintain organized records.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years in accounts payable, preferably in construction.
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software, advanced Excel skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
