Job Title: Controller
About the Role:
A well-established company is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its financial operations. This role oversees accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a problem-solving mindset, and prior public accounting experience (preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, job costing, and general ledger.
- Manage financial close processes and prepare financial statements.
- Ensure tax compliance and manage sales tax and income tax filings.
- Develop financial reports, analyze key metrics, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
- Oversee accounting systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Prior public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 or regional firm a plus).
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
- CPA or CMA designation (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
