Job Description
We are seeking a Design Specialist II with expertise in Creo Design to join our team. The role involves design and drafting for both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment. This position will contribute to the development of complex wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and draft electrical/electronic systems, including both electrical and mechanical aspects.
- Utilize schematic diagrams provided by electrical engineering to design and integrate wiring harness routing.
- Develop line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis, housing designs, and overall system integration.
- Produce CAD models and detailed drawings of electrical harness assemblies, electro-mechanical components, and installation plans.
- Collaborate within a data management system to ensure design integrity and accuracy.
- Work with electrical/electronic systems in a team environment.
- Leverage Creo CAD modeling and design expertise (minimum 2 years of experience required).
- Create and route designs for wiring harness assemblies, utilizing Creo and Creo Pro-Cable software.
- Apply knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards to ensure compliance in all designs.
- Work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, requiring strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Creo Design.
- Education:
- Associate degree in a relevant technical field with 4 years of experience, or
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Knowledge: Electrical engineering tools and electro-mechanical engineering principles.
