Support a Fortune 500 Aero Defense company at a Mechanical System-Fluid Power Control Subject Matter Expert.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, provides technical oversight for NPD and sustaining projects for aircraft water and waste systems. The expert assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests / products / equipment. The position requires an ability to interpret, on a broad basis, the principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty. The position is responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, technical consultations, and project guidelines to ensure the successful development and implementation of our products.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college or university, with at least ten years of related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Design knowledge of fluid power handling equipment such as actuated or manual valves, pumping equipment, high-speed blowers or fans, plumbing elements, thin-walled pressure vessels, and fluid / pneumatic seal designs.
- Knowledge base includes, but is not limited to, fluid power control components, high speed blowers or fans, plumbing elements, thin-walled pressure vessels, and fluid / pneumatic seal designs.
- Understanding and working knowledge of RTCA DO-160 qualification.
