What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C models of weapons, sensors, ground systems and environments, guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and actual Operational Flight Program code into the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).
- Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies and simulation analyses for end-to-end kill chain assessment
- Use the simulations to support Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Lab to verify performance requirements are met.
- Support integration and testing of hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL).
- Participate in flight test prediction and data performance analysis for flight tests
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field or Physics
- Proficient in C
- FORTRAN experience with 6-Degree of Freedom simulation
- Experience in Aerospace Applications
- Proficient in C and MATLAB and/or Python
- Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment
- Ability to occasionally travel for up to two weeks at a time to support flight tests
- Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL)
- Familiarity with some, or all, of the following: linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems.
Salary : $75 - $88
