Position Details
Machine Shop Practice, Hand Soldering, Hydraulic Maintenance would be advantageous
- Title: Test Equipment Sustainment Technician
- Location : Chatsworth, CA.
- Pay: $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
- Duration : 4 months contract to begin with - Possible extension
- Citizenship : US Citizens or Perm Residents
- Works independently to meet maintenance and operational needs for machine maintenance and facility operation
- May be required to rearrange facilities as necessary
- will be required to be forklift and man-lift certified to Client's standards
- Will be trained to the Client's LOTO and Confined Space systems
- Will need to be available to respond to calls for Emergencies within Facilities or Production areas
- May need to communicate with Test Operations if a system is problematic outside of normal hours
- This role will also require the incumbent to be Test Operator certified to perform Thermal Chamber Test setup responsibilities
- Shall perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair on: Production machinery, Assembly & Test Equipment, CNC Equipment, HVAC / Cleanroom systems, Electrical Service Equipment, Vacuum Pumps & Compressors
- Will be able to recommend appropriate corrective action required after system inspection
- Will have knowledge of spare parts inventory for time analysis of repairs required
- Will Install, service, dismantle, and maintain all types of Hi Vacuum and Thermal Cycling Equipment used for production testing
- Must have knowledge in Hi-Vacuum, Pneumatic, and Cryogenic Systems and Properties, as used in Thermal Vacuum and Test Systems/Chambers
- Maintain special constructed test equipment and perform preventative maintenance to all departments
- May be responsible for for setup and alignment of machinery, test equipment, and provide guidance in machine relocation
- Must Possess Knowledge of Mass Spectrometer type Helium Leak Testing for vacuum leak analysis and repair
- A relevant vocational qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline as a minimum.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of the build or maintenance of complex servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience in one or more of the following: JIRA, Pirana, Maximo, NX or Autocad is advantageous.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and VISO.
- Knowledge of PC operating platforms (DOS/ Windows/ Microsoft Environments) would be advantageous.
