- Act as the architectural lead during the early stages of projects and transition into a technical lead during delivery
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Facilitate alignment among project, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure teams
- Create and maintain architectural deliverables such as system context diagrams, integration architecture, and data models
- Identify risks, mitigate them proactively, and ensure compliance with standards and security practices
- Support PMs by being their technical eyes and ears, guiding requirements, design, and delivery decisions
- Work closely with vendor teams to ensure solution compliance, integration, and data sourcing
- Conduct design reviews and contribute to roadmaps, disaster recovery plans, and test strategies
- Strong communicator across business, application, and technical teams
- Experience coordinating infrastructure (network, database, security) and integration efforts
- Ability to “connect the dots” and maintain a big-picture view while diving into technical details
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture standards and the judgment to recommend exceptions when needed
- Hands-on experience during the build and test phases of large-scale projects
- Proactive mindset with a knack for identifying and solving problems early
- Experience with GIS, security protocols (e.g. SSO, credentialing), or regulatory compliance
- Background in packaged solution implementation and system integration
- Previous work in a multi-vendor project environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant architecture or technical certifications are a plus (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Architect, etc.)
