Position Summary - The Payroll Specialist works with the Order Administration teams and the VP of Operations under the CEO and CFO to process bi-weekly payroll for the company. The primary responsibility is to compile, record and process payroll accurately, and to provide excellent customer service to our employees / Team Members.
Work Schedule Approximately 8 hours per day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour lunch break; 5 days/week, Monday through Friday, may be required to work overtime due to special projects. The Payroll Specialist position is not a remote position.

Essential Functions
Review hours and pay data and detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.
Stay current on payroll regulations and best practices.
Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures.
Work closely with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.
Prepare payroll reports for management.
Assist with year-end audits.
Work with third party HR support system.
Process and post payroll to issue employee paychecks and ACH payments
Process miscellaneous payments related to missed time or retroactive increases.
Update employee information in the payroll system such as pay class changes
Complete verification of employment forms as requested by third parties
Scan and attach employee documents to employee files in payroll system
Correspond via email and telephone with employees regarding payroll issues
Meet daily and weekly time-sensitive deadlines
Willingness to accept and complete other projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of payroll experience is required
Two-year accounting degree, preferred but not required
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required
Soft Skills Required
Provide excellent customer service to our employees via verbal and written communications
Ability and desire to work on a team with the common goal to pay our employees accurately and on-time
Detail-oriented and can pivot from a task when needed and strong attention to detail and accuracy.

This position will offer a salary range of $65K-$85K DOE per year. Other compensation may include, but is not limited to, annual bonuses.
