Job Description
The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. They utilize therapeutic communication daily and maintain a safe therapeutic environment. The RN identifies nursing problems as they relate to individual patient needs and plans individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
Key responsibilities include assessing patient care needs, carrying out physician orders, administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, monitoring vital signs, instructing and educating patients and families, and identifying nursing problems.
