What you will do in this role:

• 
  Provide a highly visible uniformed law enforcement presence at Horizon Medical Center, with an emphasis on the emergency department, for the purpose of deterring and preventing criminal behavior.

• 
  Ensure the safety and well-being of patients, employees, physicians, and visitors and the Horizon property

• 
  Be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with employees, physicians and customers

• 
  Use interpersonal communication skills while assisting patients, visitors, and employees

• 
  Attend all mandatory in-service training

• 
  Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.

• 
  Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers.

• 
  Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment.

• 
  Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon Medical Center.

What qualifications you will need:

• 
  Must be a Police Officer or Sheriff’s Deputy with a favorable background check and negative drug and TB test.

  1 year of experience Required
