Job Summary And Qualifications
The Quality Standards Coordinator is responsible for assisting with assurance of a state of continual regulatory, licensure, and accreditation compliance. Assists with implementation of corrective response to survey findings. Involves research and assessment of hospital’s current compliance status. Collaboration with all applicable stakeholders and owners to assure compliance. Involvement in staff education materials, approaches and continual monitoring of compliance as appropriate. Responsible for quality improvement aspects related to state and federal licensing and accrediting such as data management, analysis, and improvement strategies. Ability to establish good working relationships with physicians and nurses. Assists with Core Measure data abstraction and IRR as needed. Assists with tracking and posting of new and revised hospital-wide policies and forms.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement as appropriate.Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, and other customers.Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values at Horizon.

- Current licensure with the TN Board
- BSN required
- 3 years clinical background and healthcare management experience preferred
- Experience with state and federal licensing and accrediting agencies, regulatory compliance and survey readiness preferred
- Experience on personal computers using spreadsheets and word processing preferred
- Excellent communication skills required.
