Job Summary and Qualifications?

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)?is responsible for?performing comprehensive patient evaluations of cognitive-communication, swallowing, voice, speech, hearing, and/or language, as ordered by physicians. You will?be responsible for?all aspects of patient care including evaluation, plan of care, treatments, education of patient/family, communication with physicians, and documentation of patient care.??

What you will do in this role:?

• You will complete video?flouroscopic?swallow studies according to policy and procedure in a safe manner??
• You will develop and implement effective treatment programs in consultation with physicians.??
• You will treat patients?in accordance with?Speech/Language Pathology standards of care and practice.??
• You will perform evaluations such as bedside swallowing evaluations, accurately and?communicates?results?timely?to all?appropriate members?of the healthcare team.??
• You will formulate a teaching plan based on?identified?learning needs and?evaluates?effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as?appropriate.??
  
  

What qualifications you will need:??

• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with Patient, Staff, Physicians, Community??
• Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology??
• Current SLP license in state of Tennessee??
• AHA BLS certification within?30 days?of employment??
