Job Summary and Qualifications

The Wound Care Nurse Manager assists the Director with all department activity to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital.

What you will do in this role:

• Assist in coordinating the department’s participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
• Ensure that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
• Provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
• Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers.
• Promote a supportive, team-work oriented environment.
• Fulfill departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification required within 90 days of hire
• Current CWON or CWOCN certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• 1-3 years of related clinical leadership experience preferred
