Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. They utilize therapeutic communication, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, identify nursing problems, and plan individualized patient care. When acting in charge nurse role, they are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure quality patient care.
In this role, you will assess patients' care needs, carry out physician orders, administer prescribed medications, and instruct and educate patients and families. You will also need to have:
A Registered Nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
Current BLS.
ACLS within 6 months of hire.
One year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
