What are the responsibilities and job description for the CCMA Clearwater Medical Clinic position at TriState Health?
Job Summary:
Performs various patient care activities and related services in caring for the needs and comfort of patients under the direction of the physician or mid-level provider. MA duties include (but are not limited to) obtaining basic assessment information including vital signs, EKG’s, and point of care testing, advocating for patients, administering prescribed medications, preparing exam rooms, procedure room, and assisting providers. Documenting in the EMR according to TSMH policy and procedures. Each position has specific requirements with unique duties and responsibilities. See Clinic Director for specific requirements.
Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program or nursing program preferred.
Licensures/ Certifications:
CMA, CCMA, RMA, CNA preferred but not required.
Experience:
Previous clinic experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Compassionate, dedicated to exceptional patient care, knowledgeable in medical terminology, detail-oriented, and excellent interpersonal skills. General clinical technical skills preferred.
