Job Description:
As an HVAC Sales Engineer at TriState HVAC Equipment, LLC, you will play a crucial role in our business by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HVAC sales department. You will be responsible for a customer base that consists of Engineers, Architects, Contractors and Owners / Developers in the design, application and sale of HVAC systems and Service for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. This includes assisting customers with their HVAC equipment needs, promoting our products, and contributing to the overall success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities with engineers, contractors, and building owners.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Technical Consultation & Solution Selling:
- Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate HVAC solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and system recommendations.
- Work with engineers to develop specifications and ensure optimal equipment selection.
- Provide technical expertise on HVAC equipment, applications, and system performance.
Project Coordination & Execution:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and service, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support the service team in maintaining customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Market & Industry Engagement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, product innovations, and market developments.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote TriState HVAC Equipment.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to enhance the company’s market positioning.
Administrative & Reporting:
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review.
- Negotiate contracts, purchase orders, and terms with customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of sales experience in commercial/industrial HVAC systems (equipment or service sales).
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and applications.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and within a team.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
