About This Role
Tritium is searching for a Global Cost Accountant in our Finance department. This global position reports directly to the Global Supply Chain Financial Controller at Tritium and is based in Lebanon, Tennessee.
As a qualified accountant who has a strong manufacturing background, the role has the ability to take ownership of the management reporting process and be fully responsible for owning all cost accounting related accounting duties. This role will see you work alongside multiple stakeholders across sales, production, logistics, warehousing to track and include implementing cost improvement initiatives and business efficiencies.
With a focus on ensuring the commercial viability of products, the role will become the go-to-person for all product related accounting queries.
About The Role
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of the monthly management reporting in relation to product costing and pricing.
- Responsible for Com costing, CPU, Rating costing, audit, and review of products.
- Collate and compile relevant costs including supplier, freight, packaging, raw materials, import costs and handling costs each stock item.
- Support the product launching process by reviewing new and existing products cost and commercial review of proposals.
- Track and analyze Product v forecast including payback analysis, waste mitigation, success of launch, cost to budget and forecast vs actual.
- Report on monthly stock adjustments, oversee the stock take and responsible for inventory in transit, landed cost and freight accounts.
- Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Qualified CA or CPA Accountant who comes from a proven manufacturing background.
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience of management accounting and product/cost accounting will be essential to be considered for this role.
- A highly commercial individual who can influence and aid decision making.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Computer literacy – Word, Advanced Excel, Access and familiarity with financial information systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
