Posting Number : S00425P Position Title : Financial Aid Technical Assistant Position Type : Hourly Department : Finance Essential Function : Essential Function : The Technical Assistant is an integral part of the Financial Aid Department. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that accurate Financial Aid information is disseminated to prospective and current students, as well as the community at large. This role includes working at the front counter to assist students with the Financial Aid process. Qualifications : Education : 1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience : 1. Working with diverse student populations. 2. Customer Service. 3. Computer experience, including date entry and Microsoft Office. Skills : 1. Ability to communicate with and have an understanding of the diverse student population that Triton College serves. 2. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 3. Organizational and time management skills. 4. Ability to multi-task. Responsibilities : Responsibilities : 1. Advise students and parents on available financial aid sources for programs such as : Federal and Illinois State Grant Programs, Federal Work-Study, student loans, veteran’s grants, and scholarships. 2. Assist current / prospective students with completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the web and field student inquiries at the front counter. 3. Answer incoming phone calls to the Financial Aid Office. 4. Assist students in the completion of financial aid documents and review submitted for completeness and accuracy. 5. Assist with financial aid workshops when necessary. 6. Other duties as assigned. Posting Date : 02 / 10 / 2025 Special Instructions to Applicants : 1.
