Job Title: Youth Tutor
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide one-on-one and group tutoring to middle school and high school students.
About the Role:
- Provide additional academic support necessary for students to successfully complete general homework and class assignments.
- Track and record student tutoring performance on a daily basis.
- Create a safe and welcoming learning environment.
- Serve as a positive and responsible adult role model.
- Gather instructional supplies for tutoring sessions and return them to storage at the end of the session.
- Attend professional development trainings as assigned (tutors are compensated for time spent on professional development training).
- Report any concerning or inappropriate behavior to center staff.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 12 college credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two or more years of experience working with children in an academic setting.
- Current paraprofessional, substitute teacher or professional teaching license.
Pay Rate: $19.00 to $25 per hour (pay determined by education and experience). Maximum 28 hours per week. Official transcripts required prior to employment (if applicable). Recommended hire will be subject to pre-employment screenings. Triton College is an AA/EOE.
