Essential Function
The Video Production Manager is responsible for creating, developing and executing video content that supports the college’s mission and strategic goals. This position requires strong organizational skills and creativity with strong technical skills in video production and storytelling. The Video Production Manager will work closely with the Director for Broadcasting and Media Services and the Director for Communication, along with various academic department leads, faculty and staff to produce high-quality videos for educational, promotional and informational purposes.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in video production, film, communications or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in video production, preferably in an educational setting.
Skills: Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Strong understanding of video production process, including pre-production, production and post-production. Excellent storytelling and project management skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to cover college events.
Responsibilities
Video Production Management and Content Creation
1. Lead and manage all aspects of video production from concept to final delivery.
2. Develop video production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects. Coordinate and conduct video shoots, including setting up equipment, lighting and audio, and following the college’s protocol with reserving rooms/filming space.
3. Collaborate with the college’s departments to create engaging video content that embodies the college’s mission and vision.
4. Produce a variety of video formats, including promotional videos, event coverage and interviews.
5. Script, storyboard and plan video projects in collaboration with the Director of Broadcasting and Media Services.
Technical Expertise and Project Management
1. Assist director in maintaining video production equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting and editing software.

2. Ensure all video content meets high-quality standards and is consistent with the college’s brand and messaging.
3. Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and messaging objectives are met.
4. Maintain an organized archive of video assets and project files.
5. Track and report on video project metrics and performance.
6. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies and best practices in video production.
7. Other duties as assigned.
